River City Robots is ALL about getting our kids fired up about technology. Many young minds love robots which makes our platform a natural way of achieving our goals. Students have a great time learning about teamwork, problem solving, design, electronics, pneumatics, software and so much more there is not room to list everything!

This all happens under adult supervision and mentoring from professionals in technical and engineering fields and with real world constraints of money and time. These skills inspire our students and gives them the confidence to become what they can and want to be.

River City Robotics is not just for the "nerdy", "geeky", "special" or "rich". It is for ANY kid with an interest in working on a team to accomplish great things while learning and having an awesome time doing it!

We encourage anyone interested in joining as a student, a mentor, a sponsor or as someone who wishes to help in any way to contact us about our clubs.
We sponsor and can help with placement for LEGO® robotics teams:
For children ages 6-9, Junior FIRST® LEGO® League (Jr.FLL®)
For children ages 9-13, FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL®)
For children ages 13-18, we have our core FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 1094 "The Channel Cats"

We currently do not offer a FIRST Technical Challenge (FTC) team but may get back into this when and if there is enough interest in the future.

River City Robots was formed and became a 501(c)3 organization chartered in Missouri in 2002. Membership consists of students primarily from the St. Charles County area, adult professionals from area companies, and parent and teacher mentors.

Many FIRST teams are school based. Although you can think of River City Robots as the "School" or "Parent" of team 1094 and our affiliated FLL and JrFLL teams. It is important to point out that the organization is comprised mainly of Channel Cats members. None of the hard work, volunteering, demos, affiliated FLL and JrFLL teams, fundraising, or any aspect of the River City Robots would exist without the Channel Cats!
